Our Family
Maple Manor is family owned and operated by the Evangelista physicians.
Dr. Jose and Dr. Stella Evangelista, are husband and wife, and they personally run Maple Manor. The Evangelistas are very hands on and there is always an owner and a doctor on site every day, ensuring the highest quality of care. Dr. Stella Evangelista is the Administrator and Medical Director. She has practiced medicine for 45 years and she formerly served on the State of Michigan Board of Medicine for seven years. Dr. Jose Evangelista is also a Medical Director. He has practiced medicine for 45 years. Dr. Jose is Board-certified in Cardiology and he formerly served as Chief of Staff for St. Mary’s Hospital. They have six successful children:
Dr. Jose “JJ” Evangelista, III is Board-Certified in pulmonology, critical care, wounds and hyperbaric. He is also a Licensed nursing home administrator.
Dr. Peter Evangelista is Board-Certified in physical medicine and rehab. He also has his Masters in Business Administration.
Dr. Edmund Evangelista is Board-Certified in physical medicine and rehab.
Dr. Maristella Evangelista is Board-Certified in plastic surgery. She also has her Masters in Business Administration.
Marcus Evangelista is an Attorney, CPA and MBA and he serves as our corporate attorney and counselor at law. He is also a Licensed nursing home administrator.
Cristy Evangelista is a real estate developer, licensed broker and certified property manager who serves as the chief operating officer.
Dr. Aylmer Evangelista, our nephew, is Board-Certified in internal medicine, and he is an attending physician at Maple Manor.
