Attorney Marcus Evangelista to Compete in “Dancing with Our Stars”
Attorney Marcus Evangelista will be competing in the ‘Dancing with Our Stars’ contest which will be held on September 22, 2018 at the Sound Board of the Motor City Casino in Detroit.
Marcus will be competing against healthcare owners and executives. He will be representing the Maple Manor Rehab Center in the competition.
The event is a fund raiser whose proceeds will be donated to the Rehab Institute of Michigan (RIM) Foundation which is part of the Detroit Medical Center.
Every dollar raised represents one point. The contestant who raised the biggest amount will be declared the winner.
The contestants will be partnered with professional dance instructors from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio located in Bloomfield Hills.
Marcus’s dancing partner will be Yuliya Sinevych.
The proceeds will bankroll RIM Foundation’s Adaptive Sports Program, one part of which is Dance Mobility which is Michigan’s only free ballroom dance program for people with disabilities.
Marcus’s parents—Honorary Philippine Consul General Jose Evangelista and Dr. Stella Evangelista—are appealing for fund support, saying he ‘needs your help to win the contest.’
They also said, “Let us help him win for a good cause. You can help by attending the show or by donating online.”
